minutes remaining

As we embark on the third week of our transformative journey through the Master Key Experience, we find ourselves at the forefront of profound change. The battle between our conscious desires and our subconscious habits intensifies, yet with each passing day, we inch closer to harmony between these two powerful forces of our being.

The Internal Struggle

In the early days of Week 3, I encounter the formidable resistance of my subconscious mind – affectionately known as “Subby.” This part of me, accustomed to old patterns, whispers seductively, “You don’t have to do that. You’ll be OK. Sit and watch some TV.” It’s a siren call to complacency, a temptation to remain in the comfort of the familiar.

But as Haanel reminds us in The Master Key System, “The necessary interaction of the conscious and subconscious mind requires a similar interaction between the corresponding systems of nerves.” This interaction is precisely what we’re cultivating through our daily practices. Each time we choose to engage in our exercises rather than succumb to old habits, we strengthen the neural pathways that support our growth.

The Shift Begins

As I progress through the week, a subtle yet significant shift occurs. The initial resistance gives way to a new sensation. While a lingering sense of guilt may persist – a remnant of our old thought patterns – we find that the act of doing the work itself dispels the “crappy feeling” that once plagued me.

This transformation aligns perfectly with Haanel’s teachings. MKE Lesson 3, paragraph 19, p. 20 He states,

A knowledge of our ability to consciously radiate health, strength, and harmony will bring us into a realization that there is nothing to fear because we are in touch with infinite strength. Charles Haanel

The Vagus Nerve: A Bridge Between Worlds

A pivotal moment in our understanding comes as we delve into MKE Lesson 3, paragraph 3, p. 18. Haanel introduces us to the vagus nerve, describing it as the connection between our voluntary and sympathetic nervous systems. This revelation is nothing short of revolutionary.

The vagus nerve, extending from our brain to our abdomen, serves as a physical manifestation of the mind-body connection we’re nurturing. As it loses its outer coating and merges with the sympathetic nervous system, it symbolizes the integration of our conscious intentions with our subconscious responses.

This biological insight transforms our perception. Suddenly, our body is not just a vessel but a sophisticated machine, intricately designed to carry out the commands of our mind. This realization deepens our commitment to our practices, knowing that each repetition is not just a mental exercise but a physical rewiring of our being.

The Emergence of Excitement

As I internalize this knowledge and persist in my readings, a remarkable phenomenon occurs. The once-arduous task of daily practice begins to feel easier, even preferable to neglect. A new emotion emerges – excitement.

This excitement is the physical manifestation of our alignment with universal laws. Haanel explains,

The law of attraction will certainly and unerringly bring to you the conditions, environment, and experiences in life, corresponding with your habitual, characteristic, predominant mental attitude. Charles Haanel

As we consistently engage in positive mental practices, we attract positive emotions and experiences.

The sensation is subtle at first, akin to goosebumps, but more profound. It’s the feeling of our conscious and subconscious minds beginning to synchronize, of our thoughts and actions aligning with our deepest desires.

Understanding and Embracing the Process

As the week draws to a close, I gain a deeper understanding of this process. The logical explanations provided in The Master Key Experience satisfy the “white” part of my personality, the analytical, knowledge-seeking aspect.

Yet, it’s the “yellow”—my emotional, enthusiastic side—that truly blossoms. The excitement I feel is not just a fleeting emotion but a sign of my growing alignment with universal principles. As Haanel puts it in MKE lesson 3, paragraph 25, p.20,

The subconscious mind is a part of the Universal mind. The Universal is the creative principle of the Universe. A part must be the same in kind and quality as the whole. Charles Haanel

This excitement, this feeling of alignment, becomes addictive in the most positive sense. I find myself eager to engage in the practices, not out of obligation but out of a genuine desire to experience that sense of harmony and excitement again and again.

As I conclude Week 3, I stand on the threshold of a new understanding of myself and my potential. The initial struggles have given way to glimpses of the power that lies within us. I’ve begun to bridge the gap between my conscious and subconscious mind, between my voluntary and sympathetic nervous system.

The journey ahead is long, but I now move forward with a newfound enthusiasm. I’ve tasted the excitement of alignment, and now hunger for more. As Haanel promises,

The fruit of this knowledge is, as it were, a gift of the Gods; it is the ‘truth’ that makes men free, not only free from every lack and limitation, but free from sorrow, worry and care, and, is it not wonderful to realize that this law is no respecter of persons, that it makes no difference what your habit of thought may be, the way has been prepared? Charles Haanel

Indeed, the way has been prepared. As I enter Week 4, I do so with excitement, understanding, and an unwavering commitment to my transformation. The Master Key Experience is not just changing my habits; it’s rewiring my very being, aligning me with the universal principles that govern success and fulfillment. Onward, I go into the depths of my potential, guided by the wisdom of The Master Key Experience.
