Blog number 12 – The Greatest Gift – The Freedom to Choose

The greatest gift is the freedom of choice.

It always delights me as I read Haanel, and he articulates biblical principles that resonate in my heart. I have concluded that the greatest gift we’ve ever been given by God is the freedom of choice, the freedom to choose how to think.

It is interesting how Haanel describes this gift from God in precise detail. Every week, we get an intricate lesson on how to use this amazing mechanism we have been gifted.

In section 9, he starts by saying the only real power is our ability to adjust ourselves to the divine and unchangeable principles.

This makes me think of my two favorite Laws of Success: The Law of Dual Thought and the Law of Substitution. We can choose and adjust to the Divine natural law in both. We can choose to flow with nature or stand against it. And we reap the consequences of our choice.

Choose well. Clearly, our thoughts are powerful. I will quote,

“that the principle that gives the thought the dynamic power to correlate with its object, and therefore to master every adverse human experience, is the law of attraction, which is another name for love.”

— Charles Haanel, The Master Key System, 12:18

This is the Law of Love.

“Thought impregnated with love becomes invincible.”

“The combination of Thought and Love which forms the irresistible force.”

— Charles Haanel, The Master Key System, 12:20

My most significant AHA moment was in sections #23, #24. Haanel reminded me,

“I can create new brain cells to comprehend the unlimited powers which may be mine by cooperating with Natural Law.” “I can do this with concentration and attention.”

— Charles Haanel, The Master Key System, 12:23, 24

I do not know how I missed this in years past. You see, I am the girl who struggled in school all my life. Daydreaming and staring out the window were a typical comment on my report cards. I panicked while taking tests, and my memory lacked speed.

Today, I would have a Label ADD with drugs and therapy sessions. Thankfully, I was brought up then.

So I asked myself, and anyone else reading this, what brain cells and knowledge you need to build to get you to the next step in life?

What concepts are so new that you are touching the surface but need a greater capacity to understand how to implement your tasks to maximize the prize? I bring these questions to my sits and get clarity moving forward with clear intention.

And especially with the holidays coming up, I am challenging myself to ask the question: how can I use the season to elevate my thinking and everybody around me?

What intentions do I need to set ahead of time to maximize the law of love with these specific people that I am around? How can these interactions build new neuropathways in my brain to help me easily flow into my future self?

What or who will I be that will help me expand my thinking to raise my intentions for greater focus for 2025?

Happy holidays, everyone! Enjoy the people around you. Use this season to enhance who you are becoming. And know that as we grow upward, we unconsciously inspire those around us to greater heights. Let’s use this season to maximize the greatest gift of all, the gift of choice!
