minutes remaining

This week started with me donating more time to the Salvation Army, to get ready for their big Christmas distribution day on Thursday.

I spent all day there on Monday, attempting to put some order into the chaos that always exists around this event. Then I stopped back over again on Wed after I was done with my only appointment of the day, to spend the day there again.

I was putting service to others ahead of myself, but there were deadlines in place that needed to be met. I would have to wait a few days.

I could tell that I was getting sick during the early part of the week, but I just put on more patches and powered thru both Mon and Wed. Tue I could really tell what was coming, as my coughing was off the charts that day. By Wed night, I was done, out of energy and accepting of what was coming.

I was too tired to fight it any more. I was now going into some forced downtime.

I was down for the count most of Thursday, coming back to the world around 3.30 pm Thu afternoon. I forced myself to stay awake until 10 pm before I tried to sleep again, but I still had fitful sleep that night, with coughing.

Today I tried to get out of the house to get groceries and I almost made it thru the store before I felt like crap again.

So, I’m late in submitting this blog, but sometimes you have to go with the flow of things. It’s better for me to be down right now than on Christmas itself. I know there are things for me to address and they will be, as soon as my mind clears up enough to focus again.
