Lack Of Talent is No Excuse

Law of Practice

Wooden provides for us a reassuring truth that despite apparent gifting, we all have the potential for success beyond our current status quo when we consider that the majority of achievement consists of practice and the remainder is work.

Anything, in any area of life, requires discipline to accomplish. Hard work goes a long way to achieving success. Talent alone is not sufficient for remarkable success.

Many top high school students have never been challenged to work hard until they go to college and then give up because they do not realize that they have heretofore gotten by merely on talent and have not developed the skills to succeed, or simply the determination to practice, practice, practice and work hard.

This means that I can potentially achieve anything as long as I am willing to practice and work hard. Anything is within my reach. I dream the dream, focus on accomplishing it with a singular desire, and do the work.

As far as the other Laws of the Mind are concerned, they are refined and developed through practice. The more time and diligence we devote to correctly putting the Laws of the Mind into practice, the more efficient and successful we become.

As we persistently practice the Laws of Forgiveness, Substitution, Relaxation, Dual Thought and Subconscious and Growth we will develop the skills for improved performance. The whole is greater than the sum of the parts, because as you are seeing, the Laws are all interwoven and interlinked.

Meet Janet Kraft

Janet retired from a JOB at the age of 31, keeping the part she loved (innovative digital tasks) and taking time to raise and homeschool two kids. Although currently over retirement age, seeing no reason to stop pursuing her dreams, she volunteers as an EMT, CPR instructor, and teaches people the easy way to own precious metals.
