Trouble in Paradise

This was a very difficult week for me. I was still trying to regain my footing from being sick, with lingering tiredness. Last Sunday, I made the choice to take a nap instead of being on the call, as I just couldn’t keep my eyes open.

That then caused a cascade of things sliding, as I couldn’t get to the call after it was posted on Wednesday, as I had a special project that I was doing this week that took a bunch of time, and our friend had surgery on Tuesday and needed help with transportation on Wednesday, etc.

All in all it was a strange week. I will admit that when I got sick, I had to let my daily class stuff slide, as I just was too tired. Choices were made to feel better first so that I could get back on course afterwards. I had to do this in Dec too when I was sick.

This time, it seemed different, as I managed to get into a pretty good funk. I lost my “happy”. I’m still digging my way out of it, as I just haven’t had the time to take to go internal to get all of my answers. They will come as I’m ready to hear them, but it’s really thrown a monkey wrench into my current plans to do some new activities within my business.

I’m still getting caught up for this week and I’m actually intrigued to do the exercise to find my A and B activities, as I have a lot of irons in the fire. I’m more of a hedgehog, but when I have multiple businesses that have different key activates, it’ll be interesting to see what filters to the top for the A and B to schedule, especially as I’m adding in my new opportunities.

I know, it sounds like I’m a fox, and maybe I have some of those traits too that I allow to run rampant at times. I’ll keep you posted on the outcome of that exercise.

  • Paula, I really appreciate your honesty here, and see? You’re catching up. It’s tough when life throws off your rhythm, especially when you’ve worked hard to build momentum. Choosing to rest so you can come back stronger is not an easy decision, but it’s the right one, and it’s clear you’re finding your way back. I totally get that feeling of losing your “happy” and needing time to process before the answers come… but the fact that you’re still here, still engaged, and still moving forward says everything. Can’t wait to read what you prioritized for the A and B exercises.
