“Do it now”…works.

“Do it now” has long been a challenge for me.

As I am committed to staying current with the Master Key Experience, rather that my usual pattern of fall behind and then catch up, I began this morning with 25x of “Do it Now” out loud.

By the way, with the Master Key Experience, you are advised there is no catching up; you can’t cram for this. Believe them; you cannot.

Day One: I said my first 25x iterations of “Do it Now” while I was waiting for my tea water to boil around 5:30 am. I finished my 25x and noticed the back of the stove was still sporting the oil splatter of onions sautéed the night before for dinner. My mind said, I’ll do that later, and then I decided to “do it now”. Interesting, as that is most often not my MO.

I realize I do need to be mindful of safety as I cleaned off the spattered oil while leaning over the burner and kettle that were on. Fortunately I did not set myself on fire, and congratulated myself on doing it now. Score!

I wonder what will happen if I do this (repeating “do it now” 25x) more than the recommended or required two times per day. I’m having some fun with this part, so we shall see what happens. I have to say I was extremely productive today which was interesting and fun at the same time. Go figure…

Day Two: I couldn’t wake up this morning. I hit the snooze button a couple of times, and admonished myself for not getting right up at 4:55 am when my alarm went off. I discovered a while back I am most productive early in the morning, and so I am often up by 5 am. This morning, I just didn’t do it.

I decided to do my first recitation of “do it now” while trying to get myself up. I did it, and then got up and did my readings and my sit (which is becoming much easier and more enjoyable).

I make sure to repeat “do it now” with “enthuuuusiam” every time I do the exercise. Maybe subby is getting onboard with this adventure!

There is a lot of work to traveling down this road, and I do it with gratitude, hope and with great enthuuuusiam!
