The MKE Live Video Week Two was so potent it drove me to return to my yogic roots and to listen again to Joseph Campbell’s interview ‘Follow Your Bliss’ with Bill Moyer. That’s the thing about life, you never know when the next turn, next video, or phrase of words will cause a deep splitting of the cement and, as Haanel states in:
#20. The subconscious mind never sleeps, never rests, any more than does your heart, or your blood. It has been found that by plainly stating to the subconscious mind certain specific things to be accomplished, forces are set in operation that lead to the result desired. Here, then, is a source of power which places us in touch with Omnipotence. Here in is a deep principle which is well worth our most earnest study.
Here is a portion of the interview with Dr. Campbell explaining what it means to follow your bliss:
I have a firm belief in this, not only in terms of my own experience, but in knowing about the experiences of other people. When you follow your bliss – by bliss I mean the deep sense of being in it and doing what the push is out of your own existence.
You follow that and doors will open where you would not have thought there were going to be any doors. Where there wouldn’t be a door for anyone else.
There is something about the integrity of a life, and the world moves in and helps. Joseph Campbell
This statement, in alignment with Week Two reading out loud with unbridled enthusiasm of our Chore and DMP index cards and looking for blue rectangles are worthy activities leading to dharma.
Lastly, so important is understanding and following the Seven Laws of the Mind such as:
Law of Relaxation: Mental effort defeats itself ~ exactly the opposite of physical effort. A relaxed, calm state of mind, is the only doorway to progress mentally. Relaxation of thought is the only access to Infinite Intelligence.
Law of Subconscious – As soon as the subconscious accepts the idea it becomes a demand and it works constantly, 24-7, to manifest demand ~ accessing a reservoir of infinite resources.
Happy dharma!

Diane, you’ve been wonderfully busy! Thanks for sharing with our Master Mind the quote from Joseph Campbell in the “Follow Your Bliss” interview. Such a perfect linking. Campbell certainly does say why we are focusing on new thought habits in Week 2. And I’m delighted you are especially aware of the Law of Relaxation as a stance this week when we’re asking you to do so many things. “The Relaxation of thought is the only access to Infinite Intelligence.” Great job!
Well done Diane. I love it when you can connect the materials in ways that help you find more meaning.
