Chapter 2 of “The Master Key System” by Charles F. Haanel delves into the profound concept of thought and its ability to shape our reality. Haanel introduces readers to the idea that thought is a powerful force that can manifest both positive and negative outcomes in our lives.

One of the key takeaways from this chapter is the understanding that our thoughts are not merely fleeting ideas but rather tangible entities that have the power to influence our circumstances.

Haanel emphasizes that our thoughts create our mental attitude, and our mental attitude, in turn, determines our actions and ultimately our results. This concept highlights the importance of cultivating positive and constructive thoughts as a means of achieving success and fulfillment.

Another significant point explored in Chapter 2 is the idea of the “subconscious mind.” Haanel explains that the subconscious mind is a vast reservoir of untapped potential that can be accessed through the power of thought.

By understanding and utilizing the subconscious mind, individuals can harness its immense creative and manifesting abilities. The subconscious mind is likened to a fertile garden that can produce abundant fruits when nurtured with positive and constructive thoughts.

By recognizing the influence of our thoughts on our mental attitude, actions, and results, we can begin to take control of our lives and unlock our true potential. The concept of the subconscious mind offers a glimpse into the immense possibilities that lie within us, waiting to be explored if only I continue to do the work and harness this power by being faithful to the exercise regardless of how I feel.

“My actions are ruled by appetite, passion, prejudice, greed, love, fear, environment, habit, and the worst of these tyrants is habit. Therefore, if I must be a slave to habits let me be a slave to good habits.”

— Og Mandino, The Greatest Salesman in the World, p. 54-55, Scroll I

Being faithful to the exercises given to us is the key to persistence and creating the world without from the world within. I must not miss a day of these exercises for a few moments spent on this habit is a small price to pay for the happiness and success that will be mine.
