Well, this is blog #2. Doesn’t seem like a big number but I have experienced a number of realizations in this short time.
During the first two daily readings I found my mind wondering on to other items floating in my head and I would have to bring myself into focus and start over again on that sentence.
A-haw. I took the advice of one of the presenters and started following along with my finger. Alas, I was able to read much faster and understand the context of the wording better.
Now, onto the third and final reading of the day. I found that reading out loud, even though it was slower than just reading, I was able to understand the meaning more deeply. Even though I was understanding more thoroughly, there was one problem that I did encounter.
I would start to yawn about every second or third paragraph and I couldn’t stop???
Disconcerting, but I tried an experiment. In the first reading of the next morning I read out loud. Guess what? I would yawn every second or third paragraph. Crazy, huh? Back to the regular pattern of the three readings. I guess I learn something new about myself every day. That is what we are here for.

It’s great to hear about the progress and realizations you’re experiencing already! You’re finding new ways to stay focused and deepen your understanding, which is a sign that you’re actively engaging with the process. The yawning might be your body’s way of adjusting to a new level of concentration or even releasing tension. It’s all part of the learning journey, and as you said, we’re here to discover more about ourselves every day. Keep experimenting and embracing those small wins—they’re adding up!
