The PPNs I circled surprised me a little, at first.

Liberty? Seemed like a bit of a cliché! “God give me Liberty or give me …”

Then I remembered Mark saying that this is related to money! Yikes … Money has always seemed to be a need I couldn’t satisfy. I have, or had, a pattern of messing things up financially in my life, just when things were starting to go well.

Resigning from a new promotion or jumping into a business venture without proper preparation or finances … etc etc. Yes I definitely do need my Liberty and Financial Freedom back!

Recognition of Creative Expression. It didn’t take much reminiscing to realize that I have always had a creative spark, that somehow has gone dim as the Cement layers accumulated over the years. I love photography, drawing, even acting in school plays in my younger days, writing, etc. etc. Yes, this is one my ongoing needs, that does need a little, or a lot of, rekindling!

Re-reading the Scroll Marked I, three times a day, everyday, for 30 days did seem a little much, at first! But I’m sticking with the program and it’s having an impact and triggering some powerful memories. For example, the idea that “only a habit can subdue another habit” reminded me of a series on habits I wrote a couple years ago in my Facebook blog.

I wrote about habit stacking, where you not only use a good habit to obliterate a bad habit, you also stack a bunch of good habits together to multiply the benefits.

I now stack habits, without thinking much about it. For example, when doing my first reading of Scroll I after getting up, I treat my feet to a wonderful reflexology session from our foot and leg massager while listening to Baroque music and sipping on a glass of hydrogen water. What a great way to start the day! And there’s no way to forget this morning routine! My feet would never forgive me!

For those not familiar with the benefits of Baroque music, it has an amazing relaxing influence on the subconscious, removing stress and opening it up to whatever ideas and studies you are focusing on. I’m sure without its memory enhancing benefits I would have never survived my university and professional studies and exams without it.

Next I will dive into using the index cards. I’ve written my chore, but forgot? the card in a desk drawer all week. Pulling out the cards tomorrow and will tackle that chore, with my music blissfully playing in the background. Come on Subby, we can do this!

  • Dale that is a wonderful routine you have set up there to help with your mental reinforcement. I really liked your PPN reflection. Very interesting.

  • Dale, thank you for a good read. I too enjoy music but never listened much to baroque music. Now I will need to add that to my list. I usually listen to classical as well as some of the oldies. Nice post.
