Definitely using the law of dual thought more, My mindiet around blogs has been “Bleep those blogs” I realize that is A counter productive mindset for a course where i’m required to upload a bleeping blog. Because of that I will work on replacing it with a thought that makes it less negative.
This week has been powerful, While I haven’t been perfect with the exercises something that Davene said In the webcast that I know has been in past Webcasts really stuck out to me.
She said “for you over achievers – doing more work won’t make the results come faster. Adding more feeling will.”
I’ve had to jump outside of my comfort zone more with this one. To embrace feeling with my goals…
That’s been powerful. The sit Is something I always had trouble with. Now after two days in a row. I want to make it a nonegotiable to everyday because it reminded me how powerful it is.
I was working with my friend on a game plan to get my finances in order. He put out a football analogy. That really inspired a big side project.
You got your financial offense and defence, The offense is putting up points and the defence is preventing points being given up.
He was talking about methods because he hasn’t taken this course. Of course he would look at methods before the intention. I don’t blame him though. He doesn’t understand what I know through this course.
Instead of looking at methods as my players on my offense. I started looking at the things that would make my offence score more points.
Naturally. I’m the quarterback because it’s my life. That means before I hike the ball at any point I can call an audible. I can’t do that by myself though.
I have to have a very strong supporting cast around me.
I kind of want to write out a list of each position on a football field and find different habits to plug in.
For example, reading the scrolls is like adding an all pro running back to your line up.
When you establish the run game in football most of your runs at the beginning of the game aren’t gonna be much more than three or four yards. It feels pointless, people watching are like – Why do they run the ball? Why don’t they just throw it?
Running the ball however has a big purpose. It wears out the opposing defense, The opposing defense in this scenario is the cement of my old blueprint locked in by the limbic system.
Later in the game when the run game is established it opens up the passing game because you have play action passes that fake out the defense, Also later in the game, the opposing defense is worn out to where all of a sudden the running back rips off a forty yard or more run. The running back can also help punch it into the touchdown. When you’re struggling moving the ball through the air.
This is why I think the scrolls are a great running back.
So what’s the DMP then?
Just like it would be an architects blueprint, the DMP is the game plan.
The blueprint builder paves the way for this so the blueprint builder is an all pro center.
Not only does the center snap the ball, They help the quarterback recognize blitz as along the line.
That’s how the quarterback can recognize the blitz. And call an audible to a short past. Throw it over the blitz’s head and get a very long touchdown on a short pass.
But then I remembered this week as I thought about the defence, I watched some highlights from one of my favorite comebacks ever. It was a Broncos Chargers game where Peyton Manning led a 24 point Comeback from halftime.
When I watched the highlights a lot of those points came from the defence
So the sit has to be the pass rush. Those guys open up plays for the corner backs They also force fumbles. The sit is a defence move because you are doing more by doing less.
In lesson one it talks about what comes from the application. So doing the sit consistently can set you up to score more in life.
Whenever I keep my promises on time, that’s like having an all star receiver who can also play corner. They just score points. Period.
When Tom Brady was in college and he was a back up, he’s another guy that I look up to. The starter would get 20 reps. The back up would get like ten and he would get two. And he’s like how can I get any better if i’m only getting two reps?
The coach said, ” You came here to be the best, But if you want to be the best you have to beat out the best.”
He told him to just go out and make his two reps as perfect as they could be.
So he treated those two like the super bowl every time he walked on the field.
He attacked those two reps with enthooooooosiasm and a burning desire🔥
He eventually became the starter and he took what he learned and became the best to ever do it.
How much of that kind of greatness can each of us access?
The only difference that he made over people who had more athleticism and talent than him was where he put his focus.
He treated those two reps like the superbowl.
When you treat the practice reps like the world championship, then you’re gonna see a lot of magic happen.
We do not rise to the level of expectations, We fall to the level of our training.
How are we training?
How are we practicing?
Are we practicing like a world champion or are we just going through the motions?
So I asked myself, If I only have it in me to get 1 or 2 reads on my DMP and scrolls as I’m teaching my brain to embrace this new habit.
How can I add that same type of feeling on those reps.
If feeling speeds up the process, and I make those couple reps world class, then why wouldn’t I get excited about that?
Why wouldn’t I want to do better the next day?
Progress > perfection
Consistency > intensity
My Best > the best I can
It might be hard at times, the old blueprint may fight back but this quote from Tom Brady says a lot about overcoming. In this case I’m overcoming and rewiring my limbic system to work in my favor.
Figure out how to win even when things aren’t going your way – Tom Brady
Thank you ❤️

Let the magic happen!
Life is like a football game, how does the QB succeed? He surrounds himself with like minded people who are better than him! Take it one yard at a time, until you get a first down, you have the mastermind and support all behind you– all the way down to the goal! Keep going!
“Adding more feeling will make the results come faster” – thank you for this reminder! Wishing you all the best!
Interesting, Daniel! Even though I am not a football fan, that was a good analogy, thanks!
